Nora Parker is the owner and operator of L' Academie de Danse, and is the Artistic Director, Teacher, Instructor, and Mentor for all dance classes. Ms. Parker has over 35 years experience in teaching dance. Nora has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance Performance from East Carolina University with additional credits from the NC School of the Arts, and Western Kentucky University. She also completed three semesters towards a Masters in Physical Therapy from East Carolina University.

In 1978 Nora graduated with high honors from the Dance Educators of America's Training School and is a life time member of Dance Educators of America. She was also the dance Director of Camp Danbee in Pittsfield, Mass. Nora has received intensive training under David Howard, Diane Cartier, Joseph Levinoff, Charles Kelley, and Joe Lanteni, all recognized and honored professionals among national dance educators.
